This is often a very frustrating time for a horse and being restricted to box rest can turn the most well mannered of horses into bad tempered door-kicking nightmare, which is why we specialise in giving the horses in our care individual attention and cater to their individual needs, as a settled horse is vital if the injury or illness is going to heal successfully. We ensure that our horses on box rest receive suitable bedding that is appropriate to their specific needs. BREAKING IN / SCHOOLING
Reliable breaking in for your young and difficult horses. Based in scenic and rural Figsbury Rings near Salisbury, horses are welcomed on a full or part breaking and training basis. We offer a relaxed and safe environment that is suitable for your horses breaking needs. A professional in his field, with 29 years of experience, Simon specialises in equestrian breaking in. With a passionate and calm approach to the horse’s specific and individual needs, he gets results that speak for themselves.
SALES PREPARATION
Simon has many years experience in attending sales. As an apprentice he was always leading up at Doncaster and Newmarket back in the 1980s. Simon is specialising in old school methods with lots of walking in hand to make them walk out to their full potential. Our Sales preparation should last between 10-12 weeks depending on the individual’s requirements. We also have our nutritionist on hand to assess the individual feeding needs so that your horse will arrive at the sales in the best possible condition.
STALLS TRAINING
Here at New Barn Farm Stables, Simon understands how frustrating it can be for owners/trainers when their Horses do not want to go into the stalls, may it be a yearling or an older Horse it is all a learning curve for them. The stress along with the training can upset any horse. Simon can attend race meetings to load your horse for you, giving you peace of mind, that your horse will race stress free.

FOALING DOWN
We have two foaling units available with 24/7 CCTV, where they can be monitored any time day or night, our vets are all on hand if ever required. once the foal is born they will be turned out with their mare in individual turn outs. We can also take your mare for her next covering if you wish us to, we can sort out all the paperwork involved.
